Katie Dutra is based in Portland, Oregon and was one of our lucky winners to receive a spot in an E-File 101 workshop in 2019!

In addition to offering beautiful e-file manicures and knockout art, Katie has branched her business to include 1-on-1 training and video tutorials! Her passion to elevate the industry and share her knowledge is contagious!

Question: Favorite nail design or technique?

I am totally into abstract designs right now. I also love florals and leopard! Tortoise shell nails are my top favorite trend at the moment! 

Question: 3 recommendations for a new nail tech?

1. Invest in quality products at the beginning, otherwise you’ll end up paying more in the long run.

2. Attend as many classes as you can! Never miss opportunity for education.

3. You will make mistakes! Don’t let it get you down, use it as motivation to be better the next day. We all start somewhere.
